SPUC
Society for the Protection of Unborn Children
Welcome
to the SPUC – The Society for the Protection of
Unborn Children
We
are a pro-life
campaigning organisation founded to uphold the right to life of each
individual
from conception to natural death, in particular the most vulnerable in
our
society: the sick, the elderly, the disabled and the unborn.
SPUC endorses the recognition of
the
world community set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights,
which
lays down the 'Right to Life' as a
fundamental human right, and the United Nations Declaration of the
Rights of
the Child that states the child "needs
special safeguards and care, including appropriate legal protection,
before as
well as after birth."
By supporting SPUC you are helping
to
change the hearts and minds of our society, through lobby campaigns and
education, to promote our vision of a pro-life Wales where every life
is
considered of equal value, regardless of physical or mental
characteristics or
particular stage of development.
We
meet at
6pm on the 3rd Thursday of every month in the
presbytery at St.
Joseph’s if you are interested in joining SPUC, we welcome
you to please come
along and attend.
We
also run
a monthly draw called the ‘little feet club’ for
which the entry is £2 per
month, with £50 per month in prizes and £50 per
month to central funds.
Do
please
come along.
Brian
Smith
(Chairman)
