From Conwy Food Bank
To everyone at St Joseph’s Church, Colwyn Bay
We would like to thank you all very much for the very generous donation of food and £70 in money given to Conwy Food Bank during March. We are very grateful for your loyal support. We have distributed a total of 124 parcels since the beginning of the year, including 42 for families with a total of 95 children between them. During March, we have had requests for several young mothers who had their benefits stopped and therefore needed food parcels and also for young people leaving foster care without benefits in place. We could not help these people without your help so thank you so much.

Important news- Conwy Food Share is now Conwy Food Bank!
Rebranding was considered important as there has been confusion in the past between ourselves and Fare Share Cymru who are part of Crest Co-operative. We also feel that ‘food bank’ is getting to be a more familiar term for the type of service that we provide due to media coverage. There are no other changes to the way we operate and we have the same Trustees, Co-ordinator and Volunteers.
We have a new email: conwyfoodbank@gmail.com
A new website is available but is still in the process of being built: www.conwyfoodbank.co.uk

Conwy Food Share
To everyone at St Joseph’s Church,
Thank you all so much for the fantastic amount of food collected and donated to Conwy Food Share for Christmas. This is a huge help to us at the start of a year which we anticipate will be busier than ever as the effects of the financial squeeze are passed on to people in our community.
We gave a total of 100 parcels out during November and December so we are very grateful for good stocks of food which have now replenished our shelves after being so busy.
We are also very grateful for the 50 Euros given by Parishioners in December- all money we receive goes to buy food and supplies for parcels.
Your generosity to local needy people and loyal support of Conwy Food Share is very much valued.
From all at Conwy Food Share.

Conwy Food Share
6th December 2012
We would like to thank you all sincerely for the very generous donations of food given to Conwy Food Share again this week. We are very grateful for your loyal support.
November was our busiest month ever when we gave a total of 59 food parcels, and December has started off very busy indeed so we are very grateful for your help. We are getting many requests for young people who are on their own and not able to afford food and the referrals for families are also on the increase, many with very young children so we are glad to be able to supply them with plenty of food. One family referred recently had ten people in the house so we were able to give them a large amount of food. Another family with four children had lost their home so a food parcel was very much needed.
As you can imagine, this time of year must be very difficult for people in crisis and we are very pleased to be able to help them in this way. We could not do this without your continuing kindness; so thank you very much again,
From us all at Conwy Food Share

To everyone at St Joseph’s Church
We would like to thank you all very much for the wonderful donations of food that you collected for Conwy Food Share again this month. We are very grateful for your continuing support in helping us provide food parcels for people in this community.
October was another busy month for us and November is even busier so we are very glad of all food received to stock our shelves. During recent weeks we have helped many young people, a homeless man living in the woods and several families including a victim of domestic abuse with children.
Your kindness is much appreciated.

To everyone at St Joseph’s Church, Colwyn Bay,
Thank you very much to you all for the very generous donation of food given to Conwy Food Share again recently. We are very grateful for your continuous support. Thank you also for responding to our request for carrier bags.
We gave out a total of 31 parcels in February, including 12 for families with young children and several to teenagers living on their own who find it difficult to cope. This means the food is being used up quickly and we are very glad of extra stock to replace it.
Thank you again for your kindness in helping us to support local people in difficulty.
Kind regards

Thank you to all those who responded to the appeal for tins of meat and fruit. It was great to see so many tins of just what we need however, they all went out in parcels within three days. We have delivered four parcels to families in the last two days.
Please keep the donations coming in as the food is never on the shelves for more than a week. We are always short of tins of fruit, custard and rice pudding, bottles of paste or peanut butter, bottles of squash and fruit juice, coffee, tins of cold meat, tins of main meals eg meatballs, chicken curry, chilli con carne.
We are also very grateful
to receive financial donations as we need to top up food supplies when we run
short. Your help is much appreciated
Conwy Food Share
We would like to encourage you to please continue donating food items for the Conwy Food Share.
The Food Share continues to be very busy donating on average 10 parcels of food a week to needy people across Conwy. The recipients of the food come from all walks of life and all age groups. They are mainly single, but we do have families and single parents. As well as food we also need financial donations to buy perishables such as milk and bread.
Thank you for your
continued support.
The St Josephs Food Share appeal is to help people in Conwy who for whatever reason find themselves unable to pay for food for themselves and their families. This is often a temporary problem but a serious one.
Food
can be left in the box at the back of Church at any
time. The FoodShare volunteers will collect the box in the third week
of every
month.
Please
help this very worthwhile cause.
